We are a bit busy at this time of year, but do still try to get out and enjoy the beautiful garrigue and wild hills of the Languedoc every so often! Our local lake just outside Laure Minervois makes for a very pleasant escape and is only ten minutes walk from Domaine de Palatz.

A popular fishing spot, it is also frequented by horses, swans, ducks, picnickers and other nature lovers. Whilst it is possible to swim in this lake, we have much better recommendations within easy reach for those that like to get their feet wet! Nonetheless, it is lovely to come here for an afternoon stroll or to enjoy the marvellous Minervois sunset in complete peace and tranquillity.

For those guests of ours who are fond of cycling and walking, we recommend circumventing the lake when heading into Laure Minervois. It does make for an easier trip there and back, unless of course, you are actually looking for steep hills, in which case, we can definitely recommend the Montagne Noire!
