Where is Domaine de Palatz located?
The Domaine is located on the D111 about 1km north of Laure Minervois in the Department of Aude, Languedoc. We are located within an hour of four international airports and close to the two UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Albi (to the north-west) and Carcassonne (to the south-west). Directions to the property and location map are available here.

Is there plenty to see & do in and around the Domaine?
Whether you like the great outdoors, exploring ruined medieval castles, partying in Carcassonne, a spot of wine at a vineyard, or playing golf… there really is something for everyone: please go here for more information. We are more than happy to suggest places to see and have a host of information when you arrive, together with maps and itineraries for days-out (including great places to stop for lunch). Laure Minervois also has a very helpful Office du Tourisme which is open year-round.

Do I need to hire a car?
Whilst it is possible to reach us by bus and taxi from Carcassonne, we do advise car hire to make the most of your time with us. Driving in France is often a pleasure as the roads are much less crowded than in most other countries. If you are coming for a short break and do not want to hire a car, transport from the airport can be arranged (approximately €50 from Carcassonne and €100 from Toulouse).

Do you have parking?
Yes, we have ample secluded parking space on the property.

What time may we arrive?
The earliest time of arrival is 3pm. If possible, we ask guests to arrive between 3pm and 7pm. If your travel plans dictate a later arrival, please let us know in advance so we can ensure you are settled in.

Why are we not able to arrive before 3pm?
To ensure that we are able to run Domaine de Palatz to excellent standards – with a personalised service – we need to make sure we are always able to put our best face forward. We want to be able to welcome guests, show you around and answer your questions when you arrive with us, so we ask guests to please respect our 3pm (onwards) arrival time.

What is the latest time we may depart?
Departure time is by 11am.
